Alan Tharpe

Alan B. Tharpe, 65, passed away, Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Landmark Hospital of Savannah. He was born January 11, 1954 in Atlanta, Georgia to Boyce and Mary Ann Spitzmiller Tharpe. Alan lived in Ellabelle for many years before moving to Hagan 19 years ago. He retired from the US Air Force as a SSGT after 20 years of service. Alan was a truck driver since 2006 with Tayco Trucking, and loved to fish and be outdoors. He was a loving caregiver to his wife for many years and attended Ellabelle United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Craig J. Tharpe.

Children, Sean Gerret Simpson of Portland, OR
Bradley Alan Tharpe of Statesboro, GA
Shawn Rempel of Statesboro, GA
Tonya Jones of Guyton, GA

Brother, Scott Tharpe (Deborah) of Guyton, GA

Several Grandchildren, Great grandchildren, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside Services will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, December 27, 2019 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.
