Alice Wilkinson

June 4, 1940 — May 31, 2021

Alice Faye Wilkinson, 80, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021 at Glenvue Nursing Home and under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was born in Glennville, Georgia on June 4, 1940 to Dewey and Mary Wilkinson. Although Alice was born with Cerebral Palsy, she graduated from Glennville High School in 1961. She loved attending her high school class reunions and only missed one reunion throughout the years. She lived at Glenvue Nursing Home for 40 years and made many friends while living there. Alice’s favorite food was fried shrimp and she enjoyed regular outings to the Farmhouse Restaurant with her family members. She was a member of Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church and attended faithfully until her health prevented her from doing so. She truly loved Homecoming each year at the church. Alice will be missed by her friends and family. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings: Bobby Wilkinson, Nell Armstrong, Anne Kortney, Sammy Wilkinson and Roger Wilkinson.

She is survived by, her brother, Gene Wilkinson (Frances) of Glennville, Georgia, her sisters-in-law, Barbara Wilkinson of Glennville, Georgia, June Hersey of St. Louis, Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to: Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church, 1224 Ebenezer Church Rd, Glennville, GA 30427 and/or Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, GA 30459.
