Allijean Stubbs

May 25, 1927 — July 26, 2014

Mrs. Allijean DeLoach Stubbs, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014. She was born in Glennville, Georgia to Ossie and Katie Byrd Swindell DeLoach and lived here most of her life. She was a 1945 graduate of Glennville High School and retired from the Tattnall County Sheriff's Department as secretary and bailiff for many years. She was a former member and secretary of Glennville Garden Club and member of Glennville V.F.W. Post # 8379 Woman's Auxiliary. She was a lifelong member of Glennville Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a former clerk, Sunday School Teacher and member of Singles Club and Active Woman for Christ. She was a member of the Keenagers of Glennville First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by, her parents, husband, Howell B. Stubbs, Son Michael "Mickey" Stubbs, sister, Elizabeth Daughtry, brothers, Theodore DeLoach, Prentice DeLoach and Phentrice DeLoach
She is survived by, Children, Gloria Stubbs and Danny Stubbs both of Glennville, GA
Howell B. "Howie" Stubbs Jr. of St. Mary's, GA
Sister, Joyce Stubbs of Glennville, GA
Daughter in Law, Patsy Stubbs of Glennville, GA
Grandchildren, Allijean E. Cannady, Will Kuykendall, Michael (Lorie) Stubbs, Melanie (Al) Durrence, Mandy Stubbs, Katie Stubbs, Trey Stubbs, Brandon Stubbs, Alexandria Stubbs,
Great Grandchildren, Mallary Stubbs, Michael Stubbs, Morgan Stubbs, Miles Stubbs, Alexis Durrence, Olivia Durrence, Jill Cannady, Candace Cannady, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home
Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 pm, Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Barnard and Rev. Bill Eller officiating. Burial will be in Glennville City Cemetery.
