Anita Smith Durrence, 82, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Glenvue Nursing Home. The Tattnall County native had lived in Greenville S.C., Atlanta, Athens, Griffin and Savannah for many years. She was a member of Greenpond County Club, a duplicate bridge player and helped with meals on wheels. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Durrence.
She is survived by, Daughter, Anita Smithers of Savannah
Granddaughter, Jessica Miller of Charleston S.C.
Grandson, James (Cassandra) Miller of Kennesaw, GA.
Great Granddaughter, Cayle Ann Miller
Cousin, Judy (Len) Wardlaw of Savannah
Visitation will be from 1 until 2 PM, Friday, November 18, 2011 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, at Beards Creek Church Cemetery with Rev. Vance Riggins officiating.
Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home of Glennville is in charge of the arrangements.
