Anna Futch

Anna Loutrell Futch, age 88, departed her earthly home on August 10, 2022 at Evans Memorial Hospital. She was born December 9, 1933 to Edell Driggers Stubbs and Joseph Claude Stubbs. She lived in Glennville all her life. She was a 1951 graduate of Glennville High School and attended Savannah Vocational Technical College.

She worked as an accounting clerk at the Post Exchange office on Ft. Stewart for several years. She later worked as a seamstress at Mercel Manufacturing Company and Colonial Boutique. She also managed Bill’s Dollar Stores in Pembroke and Glennville.

She loved shopping for beautiful things and attending auctions and antique shops to find fancy treasures. She enjoyed traveling and trying new restaurants. In the last few years her favorite thing to do was sit on her front porch talking with her friends and family and watching the wildlife.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Dorothy Stubbs Banks, a son, Victor Dale Guy and husband Steven Aubrey Futch.

16 great grandchildren also survive

Visitation will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Love’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am at Loves Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be private.
