Anne L. Rogers, 88, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at East Georgia Regional Hospital. She was born in Glennville on February 15, 1927, to Rufus and Annie Merle Harrell Lewis. She was a life long resident of Glennville and a graduate of Glennville High School. She worked many years as a bookkeeper for Seckinger Hardware, which later became Glennville Hardware. In 1971, she and her late husband Jack cofounded Glennville Cablevision, later expanding the business to Tattnall Electronics. In 1985, she retired becoming a full time homemaker, where she enjoyed caring for her family and working in her beautiful yard. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother "Mimi", who enjoyed spending time with her family and a member of Glennville First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 68 years, Jack Arthur Rogers, sisters-in-law, Jewel (Ralph) Phillips and Edna Bell (Ed) Mulligan, brothers-in-law, Ira (Lucille) Rogers, Carlton Rogers, BG Rogers, Billy (Willene) Rogers.
She is survived by, her Children, Julie Hales and Ken (Mariann) Rogers all of Glennville. Grandchildren, Jay (Melissa) Hales of Glennville, Megan (Colby) Blanchard of Statesboro, and Kendall Rogers of Glennville. Great Grandchildren, Jena Caroline Hales, Jack Wesley Hales, and Christopher "Brooks" Blanchard. Sister, Jane Ginn of Fayetteville, Sisters-in-law Josephine Rogers and Ola Mae Rogers both of Glennville. Brother-in-law, Emory (Etwinda) Rogers of Reidsville. Special friends and loving caregivers, Georgia Weathers, Patty Reddish, Shalane Bell, Jackie Lee, and Susie Morrison. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held on 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Glennville First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Howard and David Daus officiating. Burial will follow in the Glennville City Cemetery.
