Beach Waters

March 4, 1934 — March 15, 2017

Beach Waters, 83, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Camellia Health and Rehab after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born in Glennville, Georgia on March 4, 1934 to John and Floy Thompson Waters and lived in Glennville most of his life. He retired from the US Air Force after a 25 year career and earned the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. After retirement he served Glennville and Tattnall County as a school bus driver, school board member and 4-H volunteer. He served as Chief Bailiff with Tattnall County Sheriff's Office for many years. He was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church and served as Methodist Lay Speaker. He was one of eleven children and is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bobbie Sparks Waters; brothers, Prentice, Coolidge,Von, Romie, Boby and Gene Autrey.

Children: Cheryl Waters Mashburn (Sam) of Rochelle
Robert L. Waters (Tammy) of Glennville
Ruth Waters Walker (Michael) of Ludowici

Sisters: Wanda Phillips (Earl), Pat Brown, Debbie Waters,
Katha Driggers (Jimmy)

Sister-in-law: Gwen Waters

Grandchildren: Samuel Mashburn (Hannah),
Matthew Mashburn (Connie), Christopher Waters,
Andrew Waters, Jason Walker (Mandy),
Clayton Walker (Darla)

Great-Grandchildren, Naomi Grace, Boston, Landri, Rilyn, Finlea, Kensley and Caylee. Numerous Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Posey officiating. Burial will follow at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
