Bennie Dubberly

Bennie L. Dubberly, 94, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Oxley Park Health and Rehabilitation in Lyons. He was born May 13, 1928 in Glennville to Barnie and Tavie Bradford Dubberly and lived here all of his life. He served in the Georgia National Guard was a retired Carpenter, farmer and rural mail carrier. He enjoyed reading, being with his children and grandchildren, He was a member and deacon of Mendes Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Barbara “Bobbie” Dubberly, and a brother, Bobby Dubberly.

He is survived by his children, Fred Dubberly (Rheta) of Glennville, Georgia

Diane Smith (Jimmy) of Vidalia, Georgia

Grandchildren, Lee Dubberly (Jessica), Amanda Thompson (Drew), Shanna Tanner (Dan) and James-Michael Smith, Seven Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin 1:00 pm, Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services with Rev. Jimmy Smith, James-Michael Smith and Drew Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Mendes Baptist Church Cemetery.
