Betty Merle Hall

Glennville

Betty Merle (Law) Hall, 87, passed away on April 9, 2024, at Candler Hospital in Savannah. She was born on July 25,1936, in Colquitt County, Georgia to General and Emma Farmer Law and was a 1954 graduate of Moultrie High School.

Betty was a military wife traveling numerous places all over the United States before settling in Glennville around 1975. She was a dedicated bookkeeper for Glennville Hardware until its closure, showcasing her commitment and work ethic. 

Outside of work, Betty found joy in various hobbies and interests. An avid supporter of the Atlanta Braves, she spent quality time with her granddaughter and cherished moments shared with her close friends.

One of Betty's proudest accomplishments was being a member of Watermelon Creek Baptist Church. She particularly enjoyed being part of The Fun Bunch at the Creek group on Tuesday nights.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold Hall, son, Harold Hall, Jr., Infant Daughter, Terri Renee Hall, siblings, James Law, Curtis Law, Zara Law Matthews, Irene Law Cox.

She is survived by:

Daughter, Vickie Hall of Glennville, Georgia

Daughter-in-law, Stacia Hall of Glennville, Georgia

Sister, Nadine Davis of Moultrie, Georgia

Granddaughter, Braylen Hall of Glennville, Georgia

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Brannen Family Funeral Services with Rev. Steve Miller officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. 
 
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, 1584 Hopewell Church Rd, Moultrie, Georgia 31768.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to: Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Herbert Connell 1833 Old Berlin Rd, Moultrie, GA 31768 or Watermelon Creek Baptist Church, 8882 GA Hwy 144 W, Glennville, GA 30427.
