Betty Durrence

Betty Stripling Durrence, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Glenvue Nursing Home. She was born February 24, 1932 in Reidsville, Georgia to Charles and Annie Belle Ryals Stripling and was a lifelong resident of Tattnall County. She was a retired Registered Nurse working with Dr. Charles H. Drake and Glenvue Nursing Home for 45 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, baking and gardening and growing flowers. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Cyril Durrence.
She is survived by, Daughter and Son in law, Anita and Eddie Cohen of Reidsville
Sons and Daughters in law, Mack and Jan Durrence
Clint and Ginger Durrence all of Glennville
Grandchildren, Risha & Van Eason, Amanda Cohen, Harley and Jonah Durrence, Matthew Durrence. Great Grandchildren, Chansley and Pason Eason. Special Cousin, Bobbie Williams of Vidalia, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin 6:00 PM, Monday, January 16, 2012 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Knight and Rev. Steve Miller officiating. Burial will be in Glennville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Erbie James, Dale Williams, Marty Todd, Gary Durrence, Joe Durrence, Hugh Durrence.
Honorary Pallbearers: Staff and Employees of Glenvue Nursing Home and Ogeechee Area Hospice.
