Betty Waters

Betty Ann Kicklighter Waters, 85, passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at Optim Medical Center in Reidsville. She was born January 13, 1935 to Celton and Alma Thompson Kicklighter and lived in Glennville all of her life. Betty worked at the Glass House Restaurant and in the textile industry for many years. She loved to garden, work in her yards, cook, sew and be “Goody” to her grandchildren. She was a homemaker, loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by, her parents and a sister, Jane Cowart.

She is survived by:

Husband of 66 years, Lethridge Waters of Glennville, GA

Children, Kay Dasher (Clinton) of Glennville, GA
Patti Odom (Joe) of Glennville, GA

Brother, Jimmy Kicklighter (Kathy) of Bluffton, SC

Brother in law, E.B. Cowart, Glennville, GA

Six Grandchildren, Eight Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Glennville City Cemetery. Burial will follow.
