Billy Morgan

November 2, 1932 — May 15, 2016

Metter, Mr. Billy Ray Morgan, 81 of the Aline community died Sunday Morning at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia. He was a retired Candler County Road Superintendent, a very simple man who enjoyed the Atlanta Braves, hunting, fishing and loved being with family. A lifelong resident of Candler County, he was a former Marine and of the Baptist faith.

He was predeceased by his parents Grover and Elizabeth Edenfield Morgan, stepson, Randy Willis, a brother, Bascom Morgan.

Surviving are his wife Joann W. Morgan, son, Billy Joe Morgan, daughters, Judy Morgan, Cindy Morgan, brother, Perry Morgan of Washington, Georgia, sister, Margaret Crawford of Savannah, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A memorial service with military honors will be conducted Wednesday, May 18, 2016, 2 pm at Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes, Metter Chapel. Rev. Wade McBride will be officiating, assisted by family and friends.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
