Billy O'Neal

Billy Arthur O'Neal, 82, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Griffin House in Claxton after a long illness surrounded by his family. He was born in Glennville on August 20, 1935 to Raymond and Veda Holland O'Neal. He graduated from Glennville High School in 1952 and had lived in Glennville all of his life. He retired from the Corp of Engineers Forestry Division at Ft. Stewart and was a farmer. He was a former member of the Georgia National Guard and a member of Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Landa Nan O'Neal; grandson, Brandon Strickland; sister, Betty McGowan and brother, Henry O'Neal. He is survived by his Wife, Winona K. O'Neal; Son, Andy O'Neal; daughter, Pam Strickland (Tommy) all of Glennville. Step-Children, Wynette Burkhalter (Charles) of Claxton, Kenny Brannen (Traci), David Brannen (Tina), and Felicia Walker (Larry) all of Glennville; Sister, Lettie Ray of Jacksonville; Brother, Bobby O'Neal (Jackie) of Hinesville; Three Grandchildren, Fifteen Step-Grandchildren, Two Great Grandchildren, Eighteen Step-Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Monday March 12, 2018 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
