Carolyn Jean Fennell Blocker, 77, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres Florida after an extended illness. She was born in Glennville to William Carroll Fennell and Zona Mae Hallman Fennell living in Glennville for many years before moving to Immokalee, Florida. While living in Glennville she and her husband owned and operated Blockers Great Western Steak House. She and her husband are in the rental and real-estate business in Immokalee, was a homemaker, loving caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Immokalee First Baptist Church and preceded in death by her parents, Children, Connie Leigh Blocker and Susan Melanie Blocker, brothers, John Fennell and Robert Fennell.
She is survived by, Husband, Cleveland Blocker of Immokalee, FL
Children, Richard Blocker and wife Jewel of Labelle, FL
Julie Frost and husband Eddie of Ft. Myers, FL
Sister, Glenda Anderson and husband Larry of Dalton, GA
Six grandchildren, Six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm Sunday at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Heers officiating. Burial will be in Glennville City Cemetery.
