Carolyn Durrence

Carolyn Anderson Durrence, 91 passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Coastal Manor Nursing Home in Ludowici under the care of Hospice. Mrs. Durrence was born May 8, 1924 in Glennville, Georgia. She was a 1942 graduate of Paris School of Cosmetology and was employed by Avis' Beauty Shop before becoming a full time homemaker and mother. She attended Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Darvin D. Durrence.

Sons: Gerald Durrence of Darien
John Durrence and wife Brenda of Glennville
Danny Durrence and wife Sandra of Glennville
Siblings: Vonice Amond of Savannah
Donald Anderson of Savannah
Dale Anderson of Glennville
Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm from the church with Elder David Summerford officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
