Carolyn Wright

Carolyn O’Neal Wright, 83, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023 at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital. She was born June 4, 1939 to Clyde and Mae O’Neal. Carolyn was employed with AAFES in Ft. Benning, Georgia, Munich, Germany, Ft. McPherson, Georgia and Ft. Stewart, Georgia. After retirement she worked as a funeral assistant for Cobb Funeral Home and Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Carolyn loved to help people as she was a in home caregiver for the elderly and with North Spring Assisted Living. She was a loving, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that loved spending time with her family. Carolyn was a member of Watermelon Creek Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her parents, husband, David Wright, son, Dean Wright, sister, Gloria Jacobs and brother, Eddie O’Neal.

Twenty-two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm, Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, January 9, 2023 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Watermelon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
