Carroll Cobb

Carroll DeLoach Cobb 80, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center in Statesboro. He was born in Glennville September 14, 1933 to Omer and Inez Deloach Cobb. He was a graduate of Glennville High School, Georgia Military College and The University of Georgia. He was an educator and coach at Glennville High School for many years, and retired as Physical Activities Director at Ft. Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield in 1985. He was a U.S Army Veteran, avid fisherman, Georgia Bulldog and Atlanta Braves Fan. He enjoyed being with his family and attended Glennville First Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by Parents, his wife of 53 years, Sandra W. Cobb, Sisters, Beatrice C. Norris, Ouida C. Flowers, Brother, Howell Cobb

Grandchildren, Burton Willis, Drew (Ashley) Willis, Ashlyn Willis, Blake Norman, Johnathan Durrence, Jacob Durrence. One Great Grandson, Davis Cobb Willis, adopted granddaughter, Sydney Blocker, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm, Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Howard and officiating. Burial will be in Glennville City Cemetery.
