Cary Tootle

Cary M. Tootle, 66, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family and under the care of Serenity Hospice. Cary was born on February 28, 1950 to Cecil and Syble Durrence Tootle and lived in this area all of his life. He was a member and deacon of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Altamaha Hunting Club and a poultry farmer. He loved to sing gospel music, hunt and fish. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Faye Tootle.

Daughter: Nancy Sharpton (Jim) of Vidalia

Step-Children: Lloyd Ellis Jr. of Cobbtown
Alice Herrington (Daryl) of Alma
Aaron Ellis of Reidsville
Denise Hutcheson (Shannon) of Reidsville
Alexander Herrington (Brittany) of Baxley

Sister: Donna (Anthony) Boyett of Reidsville

Brother: C. Kline Tootle of Reidsville

Grandchildren: Madison Sharpton and Derek Sharpton

17 Step-Grandchildren, his canine companion, Bubbles, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Friday, January 20, 2017 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Weisel officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
