Cecil Anderson, 75 passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at his residence under the care of his family and Advantage Hospice. The Tattnall County native had lived in Glennville all of his life. He was employed with the City of Glennville for many years, a farmer and retired from Civil Service at Ft. Stewart. He was a member and deacon at Stoney Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by: Wife of 52 years, Omie Jean "Shug" Anderson of Glennville
Daughters: Bobbie (Ben) Smith of Crescent
Brenda (Mike) Sherrod of Brooklet
Kay (Tub) Sands of Glennville
Sister: Louise Anderson of Vidalia
8 Grandchildren, Scottie Jenkins, Derek Stanfield, Adria Smith, Andrew Sherrod, Walt Sands, Ashley Sands, Nic Sherrod, Nigel Sherrod, 2 Great Grandchildren, Skyler Jenkins, Madison Sherrod, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM, Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday May 18, 2012 from Chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Harris Nix officiating. Burial will be in Stoney Hill Church Cemetery.
