Cherrie Waters

Cherrie Tatum Waters, 78, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at Camellia Health & Rehab. She was born in Glennville on September 13, 1938 to Curtis and Christine Durrence Tatum and lived here all of her life. She worked in her husband's grocery business as a cashier for 22 years. She loved to travel with her friends and visited many places in the United States. She became a "sports granny" and attended every one of Peyton and Chancellor's games. She was devoted in her faith and was a faithful member of Harmony UMC. She was a beautiful, sweet soul and a friend to all. She was the epitome of a Proverbs 31 woman. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Peyton R. Randall.

Husband of 56 years: Terry Waters of Glennville, GA
Children: Mark Waters and
Kristi & Ramon Hernandez, all of Glennville, GA
Grandson: Chancellor Randall
Brother: Hal "Butch" (Sharon) Tatum of Eatonton, GA
Sister: Reba (Doyle) Williams of Lyons, GA
Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Harmony United Methodist Church. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Glennville City Cemetery.
