Cherry Thompson Strickland, 75 died Monday, April 15, 2013 at Memorial Health University Medical Center. The Tattnall County native lived in this area all of her life and retired after 37 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse and was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, sister and a granddaughter.

5 Sons:Henry Strickland and Paul Strickland, both of Glennville
Steve Strickland of Lexington, SC
Danny Strickland of Anderson, SC
Charles "Bucky" Strickland of Dublin
3 Brothers:Edsel Thompson of Glennville
Ellis Thompson of Albany
Colvin Thompson of Augusta
10 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Smyrna Baptist Church with Dr. Charles "Bucky" Strickland and Rev. Edward Brannen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers: Henry Strickland, Paul Strickland, Steve Strickland, Danny Strickland, Charlton Strickland, Josh Strickland.
