Clarence W. Taylor, 73 went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 30, 2017. He was born in Brunswick, Georgia March 12, 1944 to George W. and Mary Lee Higgs Taylor living in Savannah for many years before moving to Collins in 2010. He was a U.S Navy Veteran, a member of Chapter E2 and C2 Goldwing Riders Association for 20 years. He was a member of the Faith Riders and Patriot Guard. He was employed with Tattnall County Board of Education at Glennville Elementary School in the maintenance department and retired for the City of Glennville Street Department. He was a member of Ebenezer Freewill Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard, Paul, James and George; sisters, Fronnie and Brenda and daughter, Theresa Taylor.
He is survived by,
Wife of 48 ½ years, Patricia A. Taylor of Collins, GA
Daughter, Patricia Taylor of Maryland
Son, Steven (Roxanne) Taylor of Mississippi
Sister, Cheryl Crosby of Meldrim, GA
Brother, David L (Jean) Taylor of Delaware
Six Grandchildren, one great grandchild several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin 5:00 pm, Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 pm, at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with military honors, and with the Faith Riders and Patriot Guard.
