Claudine Thompson Kicklighter, 83, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Fairhaven Assisted Living Center in Brunswick with her family by her side. She was the youngest of ten children, born May 2, 1929 to John Roland and Annie Lou Dubberly Thompson. The Tattnall County native had lived in Glennville most of her life moving to Brunswick eight years ago. She started her career at Camp Stewart Georgia in 1951 and retired with 38 years of serves as supervisor in the Accounting Division at Ft. Stewart. During her career she received many letter of appreciation, recommendations and outstanding service appraisal and awards. She was a woman of integrity, always giving and never complaining. She was a member of Glennville Freewill Baptist Church and attended Gylndale Baptist Church while in Brunswick. She is preceded in death by husband, Syndle E. Kicklighter. She will be remembered by the residents and staff of Fairhaven Assisted Living where she lived since 2008, and the staff and caregivers of Heartland Hospice that helped care for her needs during the past four months. While at Fairhaven she was treated with love, compassion and dignity. The family is most grateful for the dedication, affection and companionship of the residents and staff of Fairhaven Assisted Living. The family is also grateful to her nephew, Gary Kicklighter who faithfully visited, giving words of encouragement, love, comfort and family prayer. His devoted visits have been a cherished blessing for the past several years.

Sister, India Thompson Kickligher of Chatsworth, GA.
Grandchildren, Amanda Kickligher, of Brunswick, Paul (Paula) Kicklighter, of Gainesville Greatgrand Child, Cash Alexander Kicklighter, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Officiating, Rev. Charles Barnard and Eulogy by Gary Kicklighter. Burial will be in Glennville City Cemetery
