Claudius "Dickey" Dixon, 81, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. The Tattnall County native was born November 8, 1935 to Miriam Kicklighter and Winton Jefferson Dixon and lived in Glennville all of his life. He was a member and deacon of Glennville First Baptist Church where he was also a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class for over 50 years. He was a former member of the Georgia National Guard and was employed with Mascot Pecan Company, Lowes Electric Company and retired from the City of Glennville as City Administrator. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Karla Dixon Beecher.

Wife of 59 years: Carolyn Durrence Dixon of Glennville, GA
Daughter: Kanda Daniel (O.H.) of Bellville, GA
Mother-in-Law: Midge Durrence of Glennville, GA
Grandchildren: Cliff D. Kicklighter (Candice)
Erin Masters (Josh)
Great-Grandchildren: Dixon, Isaac , Brenna & Karly Kicklighter and Hines Masters
Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Monday, January 23, 2017 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Howard officiating. Burial will be in Glennville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Derek Bland, Robin Stewart, Lee Bland, Devin Durrence, Clyde Sheffield and Gary Bell.
Honorary Pallbearers: The Friendship Sunday School Class, Edwin Kicklighter, Allen Troha, Brent Walker and Jesse Durrence.
