Metter- Corey Ramsey 27, of Metter died Tuesday morning. The Springfield, Ohio native has lived in Metter for that last 7 years coming from Effingham, County. He was employed by Yeomans Wood and Timber Company in Swainsboro. Corey enjoyed spending his time at the river camping, and coon hunting, and fishing, and various sports. He was of the Christian faith. Corey is preceded in death by his father Barry Scott Nix, and grand-mother Eula Ramsey.

Corey is survived by the following: wife Ashley Nicole Wright of Metter, daughter, Ryver Ramsey of Metter; mother, and step father Karen Ramsey Elmore, and Jeff Elmore of Metter; sisters Brooke Elmore of Guyton, and Shannon Nix (Bill Pratt) of Show Low, Az.

A memorial service will be held Saturday September 7, 2013 11:00am at Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes Metter Chapel, with Pastor Jacob Thompson officiating.

Burial will be private.
