Darvin Purcell

Mr. Darvin N. Purcell 87 passed away Friday, August 21, 2015 at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center in Statesboro. He was born in Glennville, Georgia March 9, 1928 to Layton E. and Jettie Dent Purcell and lived here all of his life. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from the Georgia Shipyards as a Crane operator in Savannah a self employed Heavy Equipment Operator and a farmer. He was member of Northside Baptist Church and preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Avery Purcell.

He is survived by, Wife, Joyce Howard Purcell of Glennville
Several Nieces and nephews also survive

Visitation will begin at 2:30 PM, Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 PM, Tuesday at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glennville City Cemetery.
