Darwin Stubbs

Darwin J. Stubbs, 82, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. Darwin was born March 19, 1939 in Glennville, Georgia to Foy and Myrtice Odom Stubbs and lived in this area most of his life. He was retired from the U.S Army as a SSG after twenty two years of service. He was a Vietnam Veteran and received numerous awards to include Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Republic of Vietnam Service Medal, Presidential Unit Citation and many more. He was a patriot who loved his country and served it well. He was a member of Birdford Baptist Church and is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Ruth S. Blocker, Brother, Derrell E. Stubbs.

He is survived by, Children, Joe Stubbs and Jackie Stubbs both of Oklahoma

Brother, Donnie Stubbs and wife, Jane of Glennville, Georgia

Four grandchildren, One great grandchild, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held, 12:00 pm Friday, at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Summers officiating. Burial will be at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full Military Honors.
