Davis Haywood Beachum, 89, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 At Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center. He was born April 10, 1925 in Lillington, North Carolina, one of twelve children to Fisher Martin and Mammie Davis Beachum. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and a member of American Legion Post #95 in Glennville. He was employed with Georgia Natural Gas and self-employed in the appliance repair business on St. Simon's Island for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Russ Beachum ; brothers and sisters, Vincent Beachum, Kirk Beachum, Herman Beachum, Guy Beachum, Evelyn Boyette, Polly Pollard, Dorothy Milford, Rose White and Jean Freeman.
He is survived by:

Margie Drye of Polkton, NC
Grandchildren:Clay Beachum of Statesboro, GA
Shelley Joyce of Charleston, SC
Ryan Burchett of Brunswick, GA
Seven Great-Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation and services will begin at 12:00 noon, Friday, January 9, 2015 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Barnard officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors.
