Dean Trapnell

May 17, 1932 — July 13, 2011

Metter Dean Wilson Trapnell, 79, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Candler County Hospital. The Candler County native had lived in Metter all of her life. She was a very loyal and dedicated employee of Candler County hospital retiring after nearly 40 years of service. She was a member of Metter First Baptist Church, the Ladies Golf Association, Metter Business and Professional Women and Concerted Services, and was the reigning queen of Azalea Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Dean was a devoted Mother and was known to her grandchildren as "Mimi Dean". She loved attending all of their sports activities and never missed a game. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by children, Glenn (Sandra) Cardell and Patti Lanier both of Metter. Sister, Martha Grimes, grandchildren, Amanda and Laura Cardell, Morgan and Marlee Lanier.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lamar Trapnell, mother, Inez R. Lanier, father, William Andrew Wilson, brother, Billy Don Wilson, brother-in-law Ray Grimes.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 16, 2011, in the Metter Chapel of Kennedy-Morgan-Brannen Funeral Homes with Rev. Floyd Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Lake Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM, Friday at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Timmy Wilson, Clevie Wilson, Rodney Lee, Danny Cardell, Danny Grimes, Dale Sikes, Dwayne Sikes, Donald Sikes.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Staff of Candler County Hospital and EMS and the Ladies Gold Association.

The family requests remembrances be made to the Candler County
Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 597, Metter, Georgia 30439.
