Debbie Lee Morris, 44, of Waynesboro, Virginia died suddenly Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

She was born July 19, 1967 in Savannah, Georgia, a daughter of Eveleen Kemp Lanier and the late William Bobby Lanier.

In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of 22 years, Andy Morris of Waynesboro; daughters, Andrea Lee and Haley Nicole Morris, at home; sister & brother-in-law, Sandy and Keith Rogers of Claxton, GA; nephew, Tyler Rogers; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Debbie attended the Church on the Hill, Fishersville, where she was very active. She graduated from Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, GA with a degree in biology. Debbie had a great sense of humor, a passion for writing childrens books and enjoyed home schooling her daugthers. She was a loving wife and mother, kind-hearted to all, and loved the outdoors, music, and travel. The most important things in her life were her Lord and her family.

A service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the Church on the Hill by Pastor Brandon Williams in Waynesboro, Virginia.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Metter First Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Eason officiating. Burial will follow in the Lake Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brent Morris, Jimmy Morris, Tim Waller, Tyler Rogers, Wesley Sapp and Brook Carter.

The family will receive friends Friday evening 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
