Debora Kicklighter

Debora Stearns Kicklighter, 51, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at Emory University Medical Center in Atlanta after a long battle with chronic myelogenous leukemia. She was born March 14, 1962 in Atlanta, Georgia to Kenneth and Penny Trusty Stearns and spent most of her childhood in Clayton County Georgia. She graduated from Forest Park Senior High School in 1980 and was on the high school swim team and drama club. After graduation she began pursuing a music career in country music playing various venues including county fairs, bars and performed at family functions. She was a talented song writer and producer and founded Murder Creek Entertainment in 2013 to help aspiring performing artists to get a start in the music industry. She attended the Georgia Country Music Awards in 2013 as the writer of the song "When you Go" when it was up for the best country music Video. She was employed with Perot/Dell Solutions as a regional director for 12 years and currently employed with Conifer Health Solutions. She was an ordained minister and is preceded in death by her: father, Kenneth Stearns Sr., brother, Bo Stearns, grandparents, Frank and Mildred Trusty.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Barnard officiating. Burial will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
