Debra Elaine Thompson, 64, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family and under the care of GHC Hospice. She was born on December 16, 1956 in Reidsville to Walter S. Grooms, Jr. and Christine Tatum Ferguson and lived in Savannah many years before moving to Glennville several years ago. She was a beautician and in her spare time she enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, working in her flowers, cooking and taking care of her animals. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Floyd J. Thompson, and sisters, Melinda Odom and Angela Ellen Kuhns.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 7, 2021 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 7, 2021 from the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Weisel officiating. Burial will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
