Dena Fordham

Dena McGowan Fordham 49 died Saturday March 27, 2010 at her home. The native of Savannah was a 1979 graduate of Robert Groves High School. Dena enjoyed playing softball for the Garden City Recreation Department, playing for one of the Championship winning teams. Dena moved to Metter in the early 1980s to begin working with her Aunt and Uncle Audrey and Rev. Michael Guido at the Guido Evangelistic Association before staying at home and for the past year caring for her granddaughter, Brayleigh. She was a member of the Garden City First Baptist Church and loved animals, especially her dog, Hank.

Survivors include: Husband, Darryl Fordham; Daughter, Alli Fordham; Granddaughter, Brayleigh Fordham, all of Metter; Sisters Lennie (Dave) Rutz, of Bulloch County and Lonnette Brannen, of Savannah.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Kennedy Morgan Brannen Funeral Homes with burial in the Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM, Monday at the funeral home.
