Dewey Slayton

Dewey Lavon Slayton, 42, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in Valdosta. He was born May 14, 1979 to Charles R. Slayton and Laurie Stanfield and lived in this area most of his life. He was employed with Ray’s Lawn and Cleaning and loved to draw and listen to music. Dewey also loved to do upholstery and carpentry work. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Theodore and Irene Stanfield.

Parents, Laurie and Mitchell Barnard of Glennville, Georgia

Son, Cody Slayton of Baxley, Georgia

Brothers, Charles Ray Slayton, Jr of Jesup, Georgia
James Mitchell Slayton of Glennville, Georgia

Granddaughter, Carleigh Slayton

Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
