Dolyn Waters

Gwendolyn (Gwen) Harrell Waters, 87, died Saturday, February 16, 2019, at her home in Gooseneck, Georgia. She was born December 10, 1931, the daughter of the late Otis and Gladys Harrell. She attended Midway School and graduated with the Glennville High School Class of 1949. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Samuel Coolidge Waters, her sister, Linda Harrell Futch and an infant sister, Reba.
Those who knew her will remember her gracious and appreciative spirit, her positive outlook, her love of flowers and how much she enjoyed teaching Sunday School. She was fiercely devoted to her family and friends.
Survivors: grandson, Ben Evans; daughters and their families, Judy (S. Patrick) Carl, Joyce (Kermit) Neesmith; granddaughters Wendy Neesmith, and Tracy (Alan) Adams; great grandchildren Justin (Jaclyn) Adams, Evan, Lane and Lauren Adams; sister, Janice Cason, Morehead City, NC; brothers, Donald Harrell, Elton (Patsy) Harrell of Glennville; sister in law, Wanda (Earl) Phillips, Pat Brown, Deb Waters and Katha (Jimmy) Driggers. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin on Monday, February, 18, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Harmony United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. from the church with Rev. Ramon Hernandez officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Harrell, Dr. Rick Cason, William Harrell, Mark Traylor, Evan Adams and Lane Adams.
