Don P. Cobb, 76, died Friday, October 9, 2015. A native of Tattnall County, he was a co-owner of Tattnall County Broadcasting, Company, Glennville's first radio stations WKIG/WKIG-FM, and Cobb Funeral Home, retiring in 2006. He served Tattnall County as Tax Commissioner for 24 years and as a member of the Board of Elections. He was a former member of Glennville Lions Club and founding member of the southern gospel group The Proclaimers. He was a member and a former deacon at Glennville First Baptist Church. An avid outdoorsman, Don loved nothing more than being in the woods, in a boat, on the farm, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy W. Cobb of Glennville, sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. D. Keith and Amy Cobb of Savannah, Brian and Pam Cobb of Knightdale, NC; grandchildren, Dr. Carmen C. Wallace (Mark), Carson Cobb (Ashley), Lauren Almanza (Justin), Luke Cobb, Arianna Cobb, and Austin Cobb: Sisters: Betty Flatt, Granville, TN; Cathryn (Joe) Spivey, Powder Springs, GA; Janell (Marshall) Kennedy, Moultrie, GA; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 2pm, Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Service to follow at 3pm at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial: Reidsville City Cemetery.
