Donald Kicklighter

Donald “Don” Richard Kicklighter, 80, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family and under the care of GHC Hospice. He was born April 13, 1941 to Henry Thad and Hazel Dubberly Kicklighter and lived in Brunswick until moving to Glennville in 2000. Don was a Corporal in the US Marine Corps for four years and a Captain with the Georgia State Patrol retiring after 34 years. He was a member of Watermelon Creek Baptist Church and is preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Mary Howard Kicklighter, brother, Jerry Kicklighter and a sister, Audrey Kicklighter DeLoach.

Six great granddaughters, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Honors rendered by Georgia State Patrol Honor Guard.

Social distancing of three feet due to Covid 19 will be enforced and masks are asked to be worn on all services.
