Dorothy Reed

Dorothy Weitman Reed, 88, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Appling Healthcare Systems in Baxley. She was born November 11, 1932 to Dewey Alexander and Mildred Moore Weitman and lived here most of her life. Dorothy was a graduate of Warren Candler School of Nursing and was a registered nurse for over 50 years. She was a member of Glennville First Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Michael Reed.

She is survived by:

Daughters, Peggy Kicklighter (Willie Joe) of Reidsville, Georgia
Teresa Dubberly of Statesboro, Georgia

Sister, Margaret Durrence of Glennville, Georgia

Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Private funeral services will be held at a later date.
