Metter, Georgia/Martin, Kentucky- Mr. Earl Wallen 60, of Metter died early Saturday morning at Candler County Hospital in Metter, Georgia. The former resident of Martin Kentucky has resided in Metter, Georgia for the last 4 years. He was retired from Kentucky & West Virginia Gas Company, and enjoyed fishing and whittling. He was of the Baptist faith. He is predeceased by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

Mr. Wallen is survived by the following: wife Dorothy Newsome Wallen of Metter, Georgia; sons Earl (Judy) Wallen, Jr. of Metter, Georgia, Marcus Woots Wallen of Mousie, Kentucky; Jason Moses (Naomi) Wallen of Metter, Georgia; Daniel Eli Wallen of Metter, Georgia; and daughter Opal Wallen (Keith) Colvin of Metter, Georgia. Also surviving are sisters, Edith Campbell of Gary, Indiana; Virginia Ramey of Mousie, Kentucky; Pearlie Slone of Lexington, Kentucky; Irma Campbell of Larks Lane, Kentucky; and Hazel Wallen of Olar, South Carolina. Eight Grand Children and one Great Grandchild also survive.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 3, 2013 from 6pm-9pm and Thursday July 4, 2013 from 6pm-9pm at Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home Hindman Chapel 125 Parks Branch Rd. Hindman, Kentucky 41822

Funeral services will be conducted Friday July 5, 2013 at 1:00pm at Ball Branch Baptist Church Mousie, Kentucky. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be at the Cox-Wallen Cemetery in Mousie, Kentucky.
