Elaine Nobles Dreggors, 78, died Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Ogeechee Area Hospice surrounded by her family. She was a resident of Glennville and a devoted member of Pigott Branch Missionary Baptist Church. She was a 1954 graduate of Ludowici High School, received her degree in Business Education from Georgia Teachers College and her Masters in Business Education from Georgia Southern University. She retired after 44 years of teaching at Glennville High School, Pinewood Christian Academy and Tattnall County High School. After retirement, she continued to teach, working at Smith State Prison.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Norris A. Dreggors; her parents, Marcus and Letha Nobles; and brothers, Gerald Nobles and Hughes Nobles.
She is survived by a daughter, Robin Dreggors Waters, and her two sons Matthew and Madison, and their father Richard Waters; a son, Daniel Norris Dreggors, and his daughter Brenna, and her mother, Leigh Dreggors; three special grandchildren, Felix, Jose and Jeniffer Ramirez; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Nobles, and Novadean Dreggors. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Pigott Branch Baptist Church with Rev. James O. Young, Tommy Hilliard, Rev. Mike Jones and Rev. Steve Waldo officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers: Marc Nobles, Glenn Purcell, Edmund Nobles, Tony Thompson, Jason Nobles, Lee McCurdy, Mike Dreggors and Joe Folsom.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Ludowici High School Class of 1954.
