Elba Baxter Harwell, 92, died, Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Hospice Savannah. She was born October 9, 1918 in Glennville to H.N. and Lizzie Beasley Baxter. She had live in Huntsville, Alabama for many years moving back to this area 5 years ago. She a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Huntsville and Bull Street Baptist Church in Savannah.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John O. Harwell and a son, Richard A. Harwell
She is survived by,
Children, Ron A. & Cindy Harwell of Trinity Alabama
Angie H. & George Porter of Savannah
Sister, Myrl Brown of Homerville
Brother, Barnie R. Baxter of Glennville
Grandchildren, Shelley H. & David McIntosh, John A. Harwell, G. David Porter Jr., Michael M. Porter
Great Grandson, Hudson David McIntosh, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 3:00, PM, Friday, April 15, 2011 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home
Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM, Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Dann Patrick officiating. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
