Encil A. Moody, 89, a tired farmer, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Tattnall Health Care under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. He was born February 11, 1928 in Glennville, Georgia to Jack and Lollie Burkhalter Moody and lived here most of his life. He was a US Army World War II and Korea Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post #95, and VFW Post #8379 for 53 years. He was a lifetime farmer and poultry farmer for 32 years. He served as a Tattnall County commissioner and was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church. Encil was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Debrin Moody; wife, Eva Claire Jarriel Moody; and a daughter-in-law, Dean Moody.
He is survived by:
Children, Linda Ann Hall (Sammy) of Milledgeville, Georgia
Jack Moody of Glennville, Georgia
Michael Moody (Lenora) of Ellijay, Georgia
Sister, Jeslyn Weitman of Glennville, Georgia
Seven Grandchildren, Twelve Great Granchildren, One Niece and Several Nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 10:30 am, Friday, April 28, 2017 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 noon at the Chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors.
