Glennville,
Eunice Thrift Kemp, 92, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Glenvue Nursing Home. She was a native of Charlton County, but had lived in Glennville for 60 years. She was a 1944 graduate of Folkston High School. She also graduated as a Registered Nurse from Crawford W. Long School of Nursing. Eunice was employed by Liberty Health Department, was instrumental in helping Dr. Drake open Glenvue Nursing Home as head nurse, was employed by Toombs County Health Department, worked at the Pinkston Clinic and provided private duty nursing. Her last employment was driving a bus for Pinewood Christian Academy for 10 years. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Glennville. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Florence Thrift, husband, James A. Kemp, brothers, Thomas, Morris and Eugene Thrift, and sisters, Carolyn Stansell, Uldine O’Neal, and Annette Strickland.
She is survived by:

Elise K. Squires (Kenny) all of Glennville, GA
Grandsons, Michael J. Kicklighter, Jr., Brandon Squires, Dustin Dixon
Daniel Dixon and Chris Kemp
Granddaughters, Renee Dixon, Lisa Cormier, Kalynn Johnson
Six Great Grandchildren
Sister, Charlotte Bacon of Glennville, GA
Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Glennville City Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, the proper ruling of social distancing of six feet between others will be enforced.
Care and Services are entrusted to Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home, Glennville, Georgia.
