Eunice Powell

Cobbtown �½" Eunice Green Powell, 76, died Monday at Community Hospice in Vidalia. A native and lifelong resident of Tattnall County, she was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Metter. She enjoyed being a homemaker, reading, barrel racing and deer hunting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Alice Durrence Green, two brothers, Cecil and Clarence, three sisters Retha, Lucille and Lillie.

She is survived by her husband John Powell, daughter, Peggy Powell, sisters, Sidney Williams, Willie Mae Mills, Dorothy Collins all of Cobbtown. Grandson, Rob Kennedy of Cobbtown, great-grandaughter, Marley Kennedy of Claxton.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, 11 am at New Life Baptist Church in Metter with burial to follow in the Sunlight Cemetery in Cobbtown.
The body will lie in state at the Church one hour prior to service time.
Visitation 6-8 pm, Tuesday at Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.
