Evelyn Hook

Evelyn "Bo" Smith Hook, 85, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014. She was born January 7, 1929 in Evans County, Georgia to Walter C. and Ruth Bragg Smith. She was a native of Tattnall County, but made her home in Aiken, South Carolina. She was a homemaker and retired from Thermo-Disc in South Carolina. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and Fidiles Sunday School Class. She was a Lady Noble in the Shrine Club and member of VFW in Aiken, SC. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Gilbert.

Grandchildren: Alicia Rogers and Joseph (Margie) Gilbert
Great-Grandchildren:Dustin Rogers and Caleb Gilbert
Son-in-Law: Allen "Al" Gilbert of Northport, AL
Sister: Jency Ann Brannen of Glennville
Brother: Walter C. "Buck" (Betty Sue) Smith of Glennville
Sister in-law, Linda W. Smith of Statesboro
Step-sons: George Hook (Linda) of Trenton, SC
Russell Hook (Crystal) Ridge Spring, SC

Many Step Grandchildren, Step Great Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Taylor Wells officiating. Burial will be in Glennville City Cemetery.
