Evelyn "Monk" Reardon Stafford

Register- Mrs. Evelyn "Monk" Reardon Stafford 74, of Register died Friday afternoon at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. A Candler County native, she lived in Savannah for many years before moving to Register 9 years ago. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, having worked at Candler County Hospital, several doctors in the Savannah area, and Camellia Nursing and Rehab in Claxton. She attended Faith Ministries Church in Metter. She is predeceased by her parents Henry Norman Reardon and Rosie Beasley Reardon Wright, husband Carlton Stafford, Sr.

She is survived by daughter Susan (Dana) Edge of Register; sons Carlton Stafford Jr. and Terry Stafford both of Savannah; grandchildren Kris (Brooke) Edge of Athens, Kevin (Brittany) Edge of Newington, Krystal (Randy) Gill of Savannah, Brett (Jillian) Stafford of Savannah, Dylan Stafford of Eden; Great-Grandchildren Kameron Edge, Aubrey Edge, Kaleb Edge, Kaylyn Gill, and Tripp Gill. She is also survived by her brother Albert (Dianne) Reardon of Richmond Hill, and sister Lynn (Jim) Gower of Savannah. Brother in law Ralph (Joan) Stafford of Bellville, and sister in law Jane Stevenson of Savannah.

Visitation will be held Monday July 15, from 1pm until time of funeral service at the Chapel of Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes Metter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Monday July 15, at Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes Metter Chapel, with the Rev. Johnny Beasley officiating.

Burial will be at the Lake Church Cemetery at a later time.

Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes Metter Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
