Frances Louise Driggers, 75, known affectionately as Fran, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.
Fran was born January 4, 1949 to Alfred Alan Ferguson, Sr. and Wadie Lee Bazemore Ferguson in Sylvani, Georgia. A graduate of Richard Arnold High School in Savannah, Fran was an accomplished artist, specializing in coastal art and Georgia beach scenes. Owning and operating a successful store in downtown Savannah, she sold art pieces throughout the 1970's in addition to attending art shows across the Southeast United States.
Enjoying a wide range of interests and hobbies, she was an avid DIYer and impressed the same into her children.
Fran is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Elizabeth Hendrix and brother, Alfred Alan Ferguson, Jr.
She is survived by:
Husband, Gary L. Driggers of Glennville, Georgia
Daughters, Tammy Chaney (Jeffery) of Townsend, Georgia
Pamela Driggers of Townsend, Georgia
Penny Deal (Terry) of Stilson, Georgia
Jennifer Shurling (Robert) of Stilson, Georgia
Grandchildren, Casse Mock, Hailey Slaughter, Amanda Martin, Bobby Martin, Marshall Shurling, Yasmine Chaney Seborn, and Jeffrey C. Chaney
Six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm, Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 14, 2024 at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Glennville City Cemetery.
