Frances M. Swindell, 70, of Long County, was called to her eternal resting place with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 17, 2017 after a long illness. Living her life as a Proverbs 31 woman, Frances was a loving wife to Arnall Swindell for 52 years. Their love and devotion to each other was the foundation of their home, where they raised four daughters: Karen Swindell of Ludowici, Kimberly (Don) Dasher of Millen, Amy (Alex) Rogers of Glennville, and April Swindell of Long County. Frances loved to dote on her three precious grandchildren Will and Beth Dasher of Millen and Allison Rogers of Glennville. She was a loyal sister to Danny and Laura Mummey of Ludowici, Bernard and JoAnn Mummey of Hinesville, and Kathy and Gary Eckman of Ludowici, and a loving niece to her aunt Hilda Shuman of Ludowici. Her extended family includes sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Carolyn Swindell of Guyton, Earl and Hilda Swindell of Glennville, Wanda Swindell of Glennville, Emily Love of Brunswick, and Leron and Carolyn Swindell of Statesboro, several nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved and adored. Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Geneva Mummey of Ludowici.
Frances had a generous spirit and a genuine desire to see the needs of others met with little concern for her own. Walking out her faith daily, she served her church, Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church for many years and her community steadfastly. She was a member of the Long County Protective Services Auxillary. She enjoyed shopping, reading, traveling, spending time with her family. As a friend of God, her greatest passion was being a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. She had a unique gift of making everyone around her feel special because of her kindness and thoughtfulness. She was a light in her family, church and community.
Visitation will begin 5:00 pm, Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Shon Cunningham officiating.
