Frank Harris, Iii.

Metter Frank Harris, III., 74 died Friday at the Veterans Hospital in Dublin after an extended illness. He was a mechanic working several years with Horton Automotive in Vidalia. He was an army veteran serving in the Korean war, was a member of The Rock Church of God and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was predeceased by his parents and one granddaughter.

Survivors: sons, Richard Frank Harris, Frank Harris IV., and one daughter Lori Dawn Harris. Three sisters, Mary Helen Tapley, Annie June (Troy) Joyce and Margaret Anderson, twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 17, 2011, 2:00 pm at Friendship Baptist Church in Twin City with Rev. Ronnie Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon 3-5 pm at the funeral home.
