Frankie Norma Jean Jernigan, known as Muffin, was born on 10/19/1952 to Thomas and Frankie Odom of Jesup Georgia at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Jesup Georgia.
Muffin spent most of her life in Glennville working at Western Auto, then Glennville Alert Sewing Factory. Muffin eventually found her calling working with the Veterans Service Office where she would help numerous military veterans to receive much needed support. After leaving the VA Office, Muffin moved to Americus GA to live closer to her parents, as well as other family members. Muffin then attended South Georgia Technical College where she finished with honors in Accounting, Computer Programing and Micro Computer Specialist.
Muffin always enjoyed a good game of pinochle with friends. She also enjoyed crocheting and sewing whenever she could find the time.
Muffin was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Frankie Odom and a sister Debra Wade.
She is survived by:
Children, Chris Fox and wife Christal of Ideal, Georgia
Brother, Larry (Bo) Odom, of Americus, and sister, Patricia (Bunny) Mills of Montezuma,
Several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
